A Tuscan Moment, Italy – 06″x 09” SOLD
This painting was featured in the 2012 December issue of Australian Artist magazine. It's a very simple scene but with the right approach it can be possible to create a pleasing painting.

Sunlit Hillside, England – 08”x 06” Available
This is an action packed scene. I was in this area in 2005. Rarely have I seen so much excellent subject matter contained in such a small area.

Colorado Landscape, USA – 07”x 10” Available
I had the pleasure of visiting Colorado this year. I went there with the expressed purpose of exploring the snow capped mountains.

A Sunlit Moment, Australia – SOLD
This is one of my favourite small paintings that I have painted in recent times. Mainly because the original scene had no light so I had to invent the light effect. I have always considered the original scene just a reference point, somewhere to begin my journey not my final destination.

Style & Grace – USA (08″x 06″) Available
This scene was in an artist friends lounge room. The dark shape behind the statues head provided the perfect environment for me to get maximum tonal contrast and impact.

The Old School House, Australia – SOLD
Primarily I'm a colourist, so this subject was right up my alley. The trick was not to make it too pretty, but to paint it with honesty and to make the light effect work.

A Moment In Time – SOLD
I'm on a voyage of discovery when I'm painting. I go in search of new subject matter whenever possible. That's where the inspiration for this painting came from. Being a creative artist is the harder road to travel but it's definitely worth the journey.

The Lamp – SOLD
With this painting I need to be accurate with my edges and focal points. The red walls are a bonus because it creates a marvellous colour harmony and ties the composition together.

Row Boats on the Yarra – SOLD
This scene is a triple threat; figures, boats and water make a winning combination. It took extra patience and discipline to extract the effect that I was aiming to achieve. Occasionally certain subjects require just that little more effort. This was definitely one of those times.

Little Sirius Cove – SOLD
This is one of my favourite coves in all of the Sydney Harbour. Like Monet, when he painted the haystacks in different light conditions. I guess this is my haystacks. This painting is approximately my sixth different version of this particular cove over a 20 year period.
