I had the pleasure of visiting Colorado this year.  I went there with the expressed purpose of exploring the snow capped mountains.

  • A Sunlit Moment, Australia – SOLD

This is one of my favourite small paintings that I have painted in recent times. Mainly because the original scene had no light so I had to invent the light effect. I have always considered the original scene just a reference point, somewhere to begin my journey not my final destination.

  • A Moment In Time – SOLD

I'm on a voyage of discovery when I'm painting. I go in search of new subject matter whenever possible. That's where the inspiration for this painting came from. Being a creative artist is the harder road to travel but it's definitely worth the journey.

  • The Lamp – SOLD

With this painting I need to be accurate with my edges and focal points. The red walls are a bonus because it creates a marvellous colour harmony and ties the composition together.

  • Row Boats on the Yarra – SOLD

This scene is a triple threat; figures, boats and water make a winning combination. It took extra patience and discipline to extract the effect that I was aiming to achieve. Occasionally certain subjects require just that little more effort. This was definitely one of those times.

  • Little Sirius Cove – SOLD

This is one of my favourite coves in all of the Sydney Harbour. Like Monet, when he painted the haystacks in different light conditions. I guess this is my haystacks. This painting is approximately my sixth different version of this particular cove over a 20 year period.
